2025 Winter Session - Registration opens December 2nd!

Pottery

Intermediate Pottery 5 weeks

Intermediate and Advanced potters are invited to join Zach Stephens for this immersive 5-week pottery course. The class is for anyone that has consistently taken All Levels Pottery classes and is an INDEPENDENT wheel-thrower and hand-builder.

All Levels Pottery 5 weeks

Join Zach Stephens for a 5-week immersive pottery course for intermediate and advanced potters. This class is for independent wheel-throwers and hand-builders looking to refine their skills with expert guidance in a small group (8 max). All materials and equipment are provided, and participants also have access to weekly Open Studio sessions.

All Levels Pottery 10 weeks

Join Sierra Hooge for a 10-week pottery course designed for beginners and intermediate potters. This student-led class covers both hand-building and wheel-throwing, with a focus on skill development and creative exploration. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of pottery, including wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glazing, while more experienced potters can refine their techniques with expert guidance. With a small class size (8 max), students receive both group instruction and personalized support. Open to ages 11 and up.

All Levels Pottery 10 Weeks: Thursdays 12 to 2 p.m

Beginner and Intermediate potters are invited to join Julie Edwards for one of our immersive 10-week pottery courses. These classes cater to all ability levels with mixed methods (hand-building and wheel-throwing) and is a student led approach to ceramics.

Those new to pottery will learn the basics of wheel throwing, handbuilding, decorative treatments and glazing. Experienced potters can brush up on their craft and expand on their existing skill with the guidance of an expert ceramic artist. With a small class size (8 max) students will receive whole group instruction as well as one on one guidance. This class is open to students ages 11 and up.

Open Pottery Studio

Open Pottery Studio is only open to people currently enrolled in a pottery class or highly experienced ceramicists with their own tools pre-approved by the studio manager. Please note there is NO OFFICIAL INSTRUCTION during this class.

Open Pottery Studio participants will have access to wheels, hand-building materials and glazes. You must pre-register in order to secure a space.

Archie Bray A-Clay is the only clay body allowed in the studio. It is a Cone 5/6 White Stoneware. Purchase 25lb for $30 during class with cash or credit card.

We are a community pottery studio, no production pottery is permitted during this class. Kiln shelf rental for the cost of $30 is available for those wishing to produce more than 5-10 vessels during the session.

Stained Glass Design

Beginner+ Stained Glass Design-5 Week Class

Join Shannon Brennan for a fun, inspiring stained glass experience. Shannon will guide you through the basics of the process of stained glass art and design. Participants will walk away at the end of 5-weeks with 1-3 stained glass projects!

Middle School Mondays: Afterschool ARTventure Class

Connect with Art Instructor, Riley Oglivie for Middle School Mondays for Afterschool ARTventure! 

ARTventures are all about exploring art, having fun and trying new things. Participants will meet in the ACBS studio MOST Mondays throughout the school year. Register and drop your kids off to enjoy an hour and a half of fun after school!

The MS Monday ARTventure classes are open to kids entering 5th-8th grades with a limited enrollment of 12. Each class must be signed up for individually and pre-registration is required. All materials are included.

Community Art Classes are an opportunity to express your creativity, learn new techniques and to connect with others in the Big Sky community.

Upcycled Collaging Class

Play with repurposed materials for a relaxing and fun exercise in sustainable creation! What inspires you? What do you love to do? What feelings do you want to express? Cezia Costales will help you put all of those things together to create something special! All supplies and materials are provided. No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome!
