Winter Solstice Lantern Parade

Town Center Plaza, Big Sky
5:30pm | Free

The Arts Council of Big Sky is partnering with Random Acts of Silliness to bring a Winter Solstice Lantern Parade to Town Center. Led by Phinneas, a fantastical phoenix lantern, the parade will light up the longest night of the year and welcome the longer, brighter days ahead.

Everyone is invited to join the parade or come watch as Phinneas leads a few laps around the plaza. The evening will continue with a festive dance party featuring local musicians.

Date: Monday, December 21, 2026
Time: 5:30pm
Location: Town Center Plaza, Big Sky

Lantern-Making Workshops: December 2 and December 19. Join a workshop to make your own lantern and be part of the parade!

More details about workshops and the celebration are coming soon.
