Creativity meets sustainability in Smart Art: Recycled Art Camp. This week encourages campers to look at everyday materials in a whole new way as they transform reused and natural items into imaginative works of art.
Campers will learn how to repurpose materials that might otherwise be thrown away, discovering how cardboard, paper scraps, packaging, and found objects can become exciting creative tools. Throughout the week, students will experiment with a variety of projects including building a collaborative cardboard sculpture as a group, creating textured collage pieces from recycled materials, and designing imaginative constructions from everyday objects. Nature will also be a source of inspiration as campers collect fallen leaves, sticks, and other natural materials to incorporate into their artwork.
Camp includes art projects, games, snacks, and outdoor playtime, weather permitting. Campers should bring their own lunch, water bottle, snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather, and be ready to have fun and make art.
Participants do not need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs to attend. Please pre-register your child for this camp.
Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org.
