Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Date: July 27–July 31, 2026
Duration: 5-day camp
Location: Big Sky Center for the Arts, 77 Lone Peak Drive
Big Sky Arts Council is excited to team up with Brian Kassay for a full week of songwriting, DJing and audio science.
Participants will write and record podcasts and service announcements. They will also have an opportunity to dive into the world of music by learning the craft of songwriting, DJing and making beats. Our curriculum includes a hands-on science component where campers build a chladni plate and other various projects to model sound behaving like a wave.
We will also build custom instruments. Students can choose to construct either an electric slide guitar, a xylophone or a woodwind instrument. The week will conclude with a performance on Friday. Parents, family and friends are invited to watch as the kids showcase the songs they have written and their new DJ skills.
Camp includes art projects, games, snacks and outdoor playtime (weather permitting).
Campers should plan on bringing their own lunch, a water bottle, extra snacks, and clothing appropriate for the weather and be ready to have fun and make art!
Camp hours are from 9am-4pm.
Please pre-register your child for this camp.
Participants DO NOT need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs.
Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org
