2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Date: July 13–July 17, 2026
Duration: 5-day camp
Location: Big Sky Center for the Arts, 77 Lone Peak Drive

Get thinking, building, and creating in Get Moving! This high-energy camp is all about art that comes to life through motion, storytelling, and imagination. Campers will explore the exciting world of kinetic art, puppetry, and performance-based creations where artwork doesn’t just sit still, it spins, swings, and performs!

Throughout the week, campers will design and build their own moving sculptures, experiment with simple machines and balance, and bring characters to life through handmade puppets. Using a mix of materials and techniques, they will discover how motion can add personality, humor, and drama to their creations. From crafting expressive puppets, to inventing whimsical kinetic artworks and mini performances, this camp encourages creativity in action. Get ready to build, perform, and let your imagination take the lead, because art is even more exciting when it is in motion!

Camp includes art projects, games, light snacks and outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Campers should plan on bringing their own lunch, a water bottle, a snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather and be ready to have fun and make art! Camp hours are from 9am-4pm. Please pre-register your child for this camp.

Participants DO NOT need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes. If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org
