Duration: 5-day camp
Location: Big Sky Center for the Arts, 77 Lone Peak Drive
Let your imagination run wild in Creature and Fantasy Camp. This magical week is all about dreaming up original creatures, building fantasy worlds, and bringing epic stories to life through art.
Campers will design their own mythical beings, invent detailed backstories, and learn the basics of storyboarding to map out adventures scene by scene. Students will also play a fast-paced creative game called Roll for Creature, where the roll of the dice determines a wild combination of features such as wings, horns, scales, or glowing eyes. Campers will bring their surprise creations to life through art and storytelling.
Throughout the week, campers will explore a variety of imaginative projects including illuminated manuscript-inspired artwork, sculpting dragon eyes, building whimsical fantasy cottages, and designing dramatic fantasy landscapes filled with atmosphere and creativity.
Camp includes art projects, games, snacks, and outdoor playtime, weather permitting. Campers should bring their own lunch, water bottle, snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather, and be ready to have fun and make art.
Participants do not need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs to attend. Please pre-register your child for this camp.
Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org.
