Lead vocalist and songwriter, Brett Holmquist, grew up in Big Sandy, MT with ears full of ABBA, the Oak Ridge Boys and whatever the country radio station had to say. Ever inspired by the beauty of his homeland, Brett’s music reflects his humble roots and invites listeners to lean in, love big, and give more than you take.
Hailing from upstate New York but residing (from time to time) inside her fiddle, Karen Pogorzelski fuses traditional tunes in, through, and around the ever expanding sound of Stick and String. Fascinated by banjos, passionate about all things nature, and ready to stick her amazing string music right in your heart, Karen brings the goods, every time.
