2023

Please join the Arts Council for another show in the 2023 Music in the Mountains free summer concert season! This week we are proud to present an evening with country artist Jesse Daniel. The show takes place in Len Hill Park in the Big Sky Town Center and is family friendly and free! Food and beverage vendors will be available, and please remember that NO DOGS are allowed into the park during the concerts. Park opens at 6 p.m., with music starting with local singer-songwriter Marcedes Carroll. Jesse will take the stage at 8 p.m.

Jesse Daniel possesses the hard-won life experience that many sing about, but few have actually lived. Instead of wearing those trials like badges of honor, he has used them to forge the solid foundation from which he has built his career. After overcoming years of addiction and all that comes with it, he set out to make a life in music and hasn’t looked back since. This unrivaled determination led to his debut in 2018, Jesse Daniel, which proved to be a major foot-in-the-door for him as an artist. After touring this record extensively he released his second album, Rollin’ On, in 2020. If the first record was a foot in the door, Rollin’ On was a battering ram, making it near impossible to ignore his name in country music. It let the world know that Daniel was here to stay and received national (and international) praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Sirius XM Outlaw Country DJ Shooter Jennings, American Songwriter and Saving Country Music among many others.

Marcedes Carroll is a southwestern Montana musician. With a guitar in tow, she bends Americana melodies to her stylistic storytelling. From a young age singing lullabies to her brothers cradled in the Rocky Mountains, to her adult years telling stories in dimly lit bars, Marcedes has found her voice best behind a guitar. Coming from a long line of weathered Nordics, who have eventually found their way to the rugged landscape of Southwest Montana, she has a bloodline of stories to tell.

This show is sponsored by the Yellowstone Club.
