Hot Buttered Rum is a string band with deep roots in California’s music scene. For more than 20 years, they’ve been blending bluegrass, folk, jazz, and soul into a sound that feels both timeless and adventurous. Known for their strong musicianship and dynamic live shows, the band layers bass, fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums, and keys into arrangements that move easily between high-energy jams and soulful songwriting.
From the High Sierra to venues across the country, Hot Buttered Rum has built a loyal following by creating music that’s hard to pin down but easy to connect with.
