Learn the basics of clothing repair in this beginner-friendly workshop taught by Alyvia Schoener, owner of ScrapHouse Designs. Participants will learn essential hand-sewing techniques for repairing everyday garments, including sewing on buttons, fixing small holes and tears, reinforcing worn areas, and creating simple visible mends. The class covers basic stitching methods, fabric repair techniques, and practical tips for extending the life of your favorite clothing while building confidence with needle and thread.
Participants are encouraged to bring one or two clean garments in need of repair to work on during the workshop. Suitable for all skill levels, this class offers a welcoming, hands-on environment for anyone interested in learning practical sewing skills while embracing a more creative and sustainable approach to clothing care.
All materials and tools are provided. Participants only need to bring the garments they wish to mend.
