Instructor: Russell Brausch
Schedule: Saturday, 6:00–8:30 PM
Date: March 20, 2026
Duration: 2.5-hour workshop
Location: Big Sky Center for the Arts

Join artist Russell Brausch for a 2.5-hour watercolor workshop focused on capturing misty mountain scenes through transparent, layered watercolor techniques. Participants will learn how to create depth and atmosphere using wet-on-wet methods, glazing, and thoughtful composition.

Russell guides students step by step, making the workshop accessible to beginners and artists of all experience levels.

Russell Brausch holds a BFA from Creighton University and an MFA from Montana State University. He currently teaches at Montana State University and the Emerson Art Center. His work is included in the collections of Montana State University and Bridger Aerospace.

Students will leave with a completed watercolor painting and practical tools for creating layered, atmospheric landscapes. All skill levels are welcome. Materials and supplies are included in the class cost.

Any payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
