Jazz bassist Bob Bowman has performed nationally and internationally with jazz legends and heavy hitters over the past 58 years. He is originally from Kansas and now resides in Montana, near West Yellowstone, after living in Portland, New York, L.A., and then over 25 years in KCMO, where he is deeply respected by musicians and jazz fans.
Bob’s love for Big Sky Country started at 5 years old when he visited Yellowstone with his parents and camped on Madison River, where Quake Lake is now. After making many trips back, he finally moved to Montana in 2017. Since then, Bob has enjoyed playing in Montana with local musicians and musician friends he occasionally brings. Bob finds himself sometimes traveling outside of the state to perform.
Bob Bowman will play with talented young musicians: Kellan Moore on piano and Josh Poole on drums. Both Kellan and Josh are students at MSU. Kellan, who is 20 years old, plays piano with maturity and thoughtfulness. Josh is busy studying but still manages to play all sorts of gigs inside and outside of Montana.
