Connect and create at the Arts Council studio. ARTventures are all about exploring art, having fun, and trying new things. This two-part session introduces young artists to the art of assemblage through paper collage.
Participants will create a unique finished piece inside a shadow box using a thoughtfully curated selection of paper elements, textures, and imagery. Students will learn techniques such as layering, cutting, arranging, and composing to build depth, balance, and visual interest. The focus is on creativity, exploration, and making intuitive choices in a supportive and inspiring environment.
All materials are included. ARTventure classes are open to elementary school students with limited enrollment. Each class must be signed up for individually, and pre-registration is required.
Students can take the bus from Ophir and be dropped off at BASE, where the after-school instructor will walk them to the Art Center. End-of-day pickup is in the art center youth classroom, with the entrance located on the rear northwest corner of the building. Students not riding the bus may be dropped off directly at 4:00 PM.
Please register for both days to participate in this two-part workshop.
Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
