Students will transform natural oyster shells into stunning pieces in this relaxing evening workshop taught by Amy Gitchell. Designed for adults, these creations make beautiful jewelry dishes, decorative accents, or thoughtful handmade gifts. No experience is necessary. This hands-on class offers the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill in a welcoming and creative environment.
Decoupage is the art of embellishing objects by layering patterned napkins, tissue paper, and other decorative materials onto a surface and sealing them with varnish. Oyster shells make the perfect canvas for this technique. Participants will learn the basics of decoupage while creating beautiful shell art in patterns ranging from botanical themes to bold modern designs.
Each participant will complete multiple shells, finishing them with a glossy sealant and optional gold leaf edging for an elegant touch.
Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
