The Arts Council of Big Sky has been hosting Plein Air summer workshops annually since 2015 and generations of painters have been traveling to the area to paint for years and years before we started keeping track. We are excited to continue the tradition during the summer of 2022!
Join Bozeman plein air artist Nic Fischer for a weekend of painting one of the most captivating landscapes around – the Big Sky area of the greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Artists will be immersed in the Big Sky landscape and will spend the weekend outdoors working independently, sharing ideas with fellow artists, and receiving one on one instruction and guidance from Nic.
Artists do not need prior experience but are required to bring their own plein air painting set ups, as well as supplies for a full day outdoors. The suggested materials list will be sent to artists upon registration OR artists can inquire with art@bigskyarts.org regarding the suggested materials. This class is open to adult artists of all levels. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
