All Levels Pottery – 5 Weeks
Dates: January 5th, 2026 – February 2, 2026
Time: Mondays, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: BASE Art Studio
Ages: 11–111 | Grades 6th to 18+
Format: Multi-week session
Beginner, intermediate, and advanced potters are invited to join one of our amazing ceramics instructors for this immersive 5-week pottery course. This class welcomes all skill levels and offers a student-led approach that blends both wheel-throwing and hand building techniques. Whether you're just getting started or building on years of experience, we’ll meet you where you are and help you reach your pottery goals. Community clay is included.
New students will learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, handbuilding, decorative techniques, and glazing. More experienced ceramicists will refine their existing skills with individualized support from an expert instructor. With a small class size (maximum 8 students), each participant receives group instruction and one-on-one attention.
All materials and equipment are included. Students are welcome to bring and use their own tools if they prefer.
Participants in this class also receive access to weekly Open Studio sessions on Thursdays. Pre-registration for Open Studio is required and costs $20 per session.
English and Spanish language instruction is available.
If you expect to miss more than one class in the session, please consider registering for a different or future class. Only one class may be made up due to illness or extenuating circumstances.
Additional fees:
– $30 shelf fee for more than 5 vessels made during the session
– Additional clay may be purchased at $30 per bag
Participants in Arts Council of Big Sky classes do not need a BASE pass to register.
Contribute-What-You-Can (CWYC) pricing is available. Any payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged via email.
