Beginner & Intermediate Pottery – 10-Week Course

Beginner and intermediate potters are invited to this immersive 10-week pottery course. This class supports all skill levels with a student-led approach to ceramics, incorporating both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques.

Beginners will learn the fundamentals of wheel-throwing, hand-building, decorative treatments, and glazing. Intermediate potters can refine their skills and expand their techniques with expert guidance. With a small class size (8 max), students receive both whole-group instruction and one-on-one support. This class is open to students ages 11 and up.

Additional Details

• All materials and equipment are provided, but participants may bring their own tools.
• Students in this class also gain access to weekly Open Studio sessions for an additional $20 per session (pre-registration required).
• English and Spanish language instruction is available.
• If you expect to miss more than two classes, we encourage you to register for a future session. Only two classes may be made up due to illness or extenuating circumstances.
• A shelf fee of $30 applies if you wish to create more than 10 vessels during the course. Additional clay is available for $30 per bag.

No BASE pass is required to participate in Arts Council of Big Sky classes.
