The Art Council's ARTVenture programs serve a wide variety of our community's youth by offering programs that foster a healthy arts environment through engaging, creative opportunities. Some of the highlights include:
An engaging and free kid friendly art activity is hosted on Thursdays during the Music in the Mountains summer concert series. Just like the concerts, the art tent is free and open to all.
A full-day summer art camp hosted at the new Big Sky Arts Center. This camp is offered for young artists ages 6–10 and runs in 10 unique weekly sessions from June 9 – August 15. Campers explore a variety of artistic mediums—including painting, sculpture, photography, pottery, sewing, and even songwriting!
Each week features a different theme, with hands-on opportunities to create, experiment, and have fun. Kids will enjoy daily art projects, games, snacks, and outdoor playtime in a supportive and engaging environment.
The Arts Council offers a variety of art classes for all ages throughout the year. From drop-in workshops to multi-week courses, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re exploring a new medium or building on existing skills.
Families can get creative together at Family Fridays, our fun and welcoming art nights designed for all ages and skill levels. Artists ages 11 and up are invited to join many of our adult art classes, including pottery, painting, drawing, and more.
Many of our programs are proudly intergenerational—like our pottery classes, where parents, teens, and grandparents learn side-by-side.
Another year of immersive, arts and culture based field trip to Seattle for selected high school juniors!
A weekly art class hosted in the Arts Council’s Studio. This class is offered throughout the school year and is open to students in 1st through 8th grade. With our Contribute-What-You-Can payment options, there is an option for every family’s budget.
Interactive art classes when local kids have a day off from school.
